Cross Country Success
April saw Manor Infants/Longbridge send a 40 strong squad of athletes to Eastbrook Secondary School to compete in the Barking & Dagenham Schools Cross Country Championships 2021-22. Having earnt their places after stunning performances in the Manor Infants/Longbridge annual Cross Country Championships held back in October, the athletes performed phenomenally well doing themselves and the school proud!
Fatiha Musah (Class 21) blew away the field to be crowned Year 6 Girls Barking & Dagenham Schools Cross Country Champion, whilst in the Year 4 Boys race, Aliyu Hayat Dalil (Class 15) was involved in a sensational shoulder-to-shoulder sprint finish and achieved runner-up position. Adefemi Adesanay (Class 10) also stormed to third place in the Year 3 boys race.
As well as individual triumphant, Manor Infants/Longbridge also saw success in the team competitions:
Year 3 Girls team: Second Place Year 3 Boys team: Second Place
Year 4 Girls team: Third Place Year 4 Boys team: Second Place
Year 5 Girls team: Third Place Year 5 Boys team: Fourth Place
Year 6 Girls team: Second Place Year 6 Boys team: Second Place
Huge congratulations to every athlete who competed. You represented yourselves and Manor Infants/Longbridge in outstanding fashion both on and off the course, and you should be very proud of your achievements!
