Class 20 participated in an insightful educational visit to their local library to discover how it serves the community in a variety of ways and how it can better their learning.
During the visit, the librarian shared how the library not only provides access to books but also functions as a learning hub, offering valuable resources and support to individuals of all ages including free access to computers when you have a library card.
The library hosts adult courses to help people develop new skills, operates a clothing bank to assist those in need, runs a food bank to provide essential supplies, and offers a citizen's advice bureau for community members seeking guidance on legal, financial, and other important matters.
In addition, the children were informed about exciting upcoming events, such as activities during the half-term holidays, the annual World Book Day celebration, and the popular Summer Reading Challenge. These initiatives emphasize the library's vital role in fostering learning, well-being, and community engagement.
