National Storytelling Week 2025
(Monday 3rd to Friday 7th February 2025)
Last term, children in Manor Primary had the wonderful opportunity to take part in National Storytelling Week with the National Literacy Trust. During the week, children enjoyed exploring different stories and taking part in virtual author workshops with the award-winning authors Joseph Coelho and Tola Okogwu. The authors set the children a challenge to create a new character or setting for a story they shared.
Later in the week, completed the tasks set by the authors and illustrated their work. Alongside this work, senior students acted as Reading Role-Models and read with children across the school, sharing stories to celebrate National Storytelling Week.
